Common questions

How do I delete my account?

Open Settings from the header menu, scroll to the bottom, and tap Delete account. This permanently removes your account and the stories associated with it.

How do I delete my stories but keep my account?

Settings → Storage → Delete all stories. You can also delete stories individually from your library.

How do I save cards to my photo library?

Save any card from the story viewer, or turn on Settings → Preferences → Auto-save to Photos to save every card as soon as a story finishes. Zines asks for photo library permission the first time.

Why did my story stop partway, or a card fail to appear?

Cards render one at a time and depend on a network connection. Pull to refresh, or reopen the story — cards that finished are kept. If it keeps failing, email us with the prompt you used.

How many stories can I make each day?

You can create up to 10 stories a day. Your allowance resets daily, and you can see what's left in Settings → Usage. Higher-quality generations draw from a smaller separate allowance, so you may reach that one first.

More usage is coming soon. Limits are set conservatively while we're getting started, and we're raising them as capacity allows.

The app is using a lot of storage.

Settings → Storage → Clear image cache. Your stories stay; cards re-download when you open them.
